ANGUS MACLEOD ARCHIVE This wonderful collection of writing, pictures, and recordings brought together by the late Angus ‘Ease’Macleod MBE of Calbost, South Lochs, Lewis, is available for reference and research at the Ravenspoint Centre, Kershader (phone 01851 880737 or 880236 for further details). The archive is owned by Angus’s family, and the project is co-ordinated by The Islands Book Trust and Comunn Eachdraidh a Pairc. Funding has been received from the Heritage Lottery Fund, Comhairle nan Eilean Siar, and Highlands and Islands Enterprise. Our main achievements so far are: 1. Cataloguing the archive and making this available to the public at Ravenspoint. 2. Organising an annual memorial lecture 3. A number of publications based on the archive – see www.theislandsbooktrust.com for details 4. Digitisation of much of the archive on www.angusmacleodarchive.org.uk 5. Setting up a new research project (Learning from History) which will investigate how best material in the archive can be used in schools To see the archive and related publications, visit us at Ravenspoint or see the websites above.
