Minutes of meeting held on Friday 11 April 2008 at Tigh Ceilidh, Gravir

Leslie McDonald head of executive office CnES opened meeting at 8:10pm. Thanked all members for coming and gave a brief outline of the constitution. She then called for nominations for a chairperson.

P Bailey Nominated by P Blake seconded by D Macleod.

Leslie then handed the meeting over to the chairman to continue the meeting.

P Bailey thanked everyone coming and for nominating him to the Chair and continued the meeting.

Chair thanked K Bailey for continuing to collect the correspondence during the interim.

Draft Constitution

The constitution was discussed and a number of issues were decided and the finalised constitution will be sent out by Leslie Macdonald.

K Macleod felt that after the difficulty of achieving the amount of nominations needed to re-convene a community council the number of nominations should be less. Leslie Macdonald pointed out that this could not be done until the CnES review the constitution in autumn 2010

P Blake to contact R Macritchie to arrange the hand over of the accounts to date.

Cllr P McLean volunteered to give a report at the next meeting on what has happened during the interim of Community Councils.

It was brought it to the attention of the meeting that a member of the Community Council is needed to sit on the Erisort Trust.

This will be discussed at the next meeting

It was agreed the Community Council meetings would be held on the first Friday of each month at 7:30 pm

The chairman bought it to the attention of Community Council members that it was agreed by the last Community Council to remunerate R Macritchie for his attendance of the skips during the interim period

Meeting closed at 8:45 pm
