The Harris Tweed Authority has announced the appointment of Lorna Macaulay from Keose in Lewis as its new Chief Executive. A former pupil of The Nicolson Institute, Mrs Macaulay, who is currently Head of Developing Skills and Customer Service with Highlands & Islands Enterprise in Stornoway, studied Distribution with Fashion Merchandising in Glasgow before taking up posts with the Western Isles Council, the Western Isles Health Board and Western Isles Enterprise Donald Martin, chairman of the HTA, commented “We are delighted to have been able to appoint Lorna to this very important post.
