MINUTES OF A MEETING OF KINLOCH COMMUNITY COUNCIL HELD ON TUESDAY, 10 MARCH 2009 AT 8.00PM IN THE LAXAY HALL.PRESENT: Katrina MacLeod Peter MacLennan John A MacDonald Donald J MacLennan Les Mac an t-Ultaigh Sandra MacDonald IN ATTENDANCE: Anne McLachlan-Sammons 1. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE Apologies received from Iain MacIver, Murdo MacAulay and Kim Young. Noted that Les sent apologies for last meeting via John Angus but not received. 2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Minutes of the last meeting approved, proposed by Peter, seconded by Donald John. 3. MATTERS ARISING FROM MINUTES 3.1 Old CofS Mission House, Balallan – Anne has spoken to owner recently and he is hoping to visit later in year to consider his options re building. Not looking to sell meantime. 3.2 Abandoned Vehicles – Anne making enquiries re abandoned car in School Lane, Balallan. Other vehicles requiring uplifting discussed and Anne to look into this. With regard to SEPA funded community clean-ups, the cut off date is 14.03.09. and no projects were forthcoming. 3.3 SSE Pairc Windfarm - No information available to date from John Angus re community ballot. 3.4 Neighbourhood Watch - Balallan - Meeting held last Tuesday. Attended by PC Campbell. To date, scheme appears to be working satisfactorily. 4. CORRESPONDENCE 4.1 Census Rehearsal Information Evening - Information circulated. No action.4.2 David Stewart MSP - Reply from Stewart Stevenson - Circulated. No action.9.15pm Annie entered meeting. 4.3 Eve Carrington - Letter requesting assistance with funding to attend World Island Games in Aland. Agreed to award Eve £500 out of Ward Excellence Fund.4.4 CNES - Changes in Scottish Planning System - Circulated. John Angus attended meeting today regarding this and reports that Keith Bray, Head of Development Services, CNES, is willing to attend Community Council meeting to discuss these changes.5. A.O.C.B. 5.1 Access to No 11 Airidhbhruaich - Donald John requested that Annie look into this as nothing seems to have been done about problem. 5.2 Keose Road - Annie requests that Clerk write to Technical Services regarding state of road. 6.
