The Community Council advertised in the local press, local radio and website that all written representations from residents of Kinloch re the amended proposal for the Muaitheabhal Windfarm, Eisgean Estate should be submitted to the Clerk by 12 May 2006.

Following the closure date the following letter was sent by the Community Council to the Planning Officer.

SUBMISSION OF SUPPLEMENTARY ENVIRONMENTAL INFORMATION

Thank you very much for your letter dated 27 April 2006.

The Kinloch Community Council decided to look at the possibility of a Ballot but this was rejected in favour of giving all members of the community the opportunity to make their views known to the Community Council. The Community Council agreed to advertise in the Stornoway Gazette, The Hebridean, on the local radio stations and on the lochs community website. A copy of the advert is enclosed for your information. The closing date for submissions was the 12 May 2006.

Submissions were received as follows:

83 letters against proposal with 133 signatures.

20 letters for the proposal with 21 signatures.

Amongst the letters received against the proposal were a number of letters which the Community Council is unable to show you due to the fact that the bottom right hand corner box has been ticked. However, the total number of letters received including those with boxes ticked are indicated in the above total.
