Page 15 of 15 MINUTES OF A MEETING OF KINLOCH COMMUNITY COUNCIL HELD ON TUESDAY, 17 JANUARY 2006 AT 8.O0pm IN THE LAXAY HALL PRESENT: Iain MacLeod Iain M MacIver Katrina MacLeod Tina Carrington James McDowall Peter MacLennan Donald MacAulay Donna Graysmith IN ATTENDANCE: Annie MacDonald Sandra MacDonald1. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE Apologies for absence were received from Murdo MacAulay. 2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Iain MacIver, seconded by Tina Carrington approved the Minutes of the last meeting. 3. MATTERS ARISING FROM MINUTES (a) Local Outcome Agreement – Approved and re-drafted but awaiting signatures. (b) Website – Up and running. Next step is to include community council minutes in website. (c) Skip Sites – Site in Balallan and Laxay still to be finalised. To be included in next round of ACE grants. (d) Notice Boards – Agreed that Iain MacIver will speak to Torquil MacLeod re designing notice boards for villages. (e) Laxay Pitch – Agreed that Peter make enquiries with D R MacLeod re container and also obtain estimates for block built shed. (f) Laxay Playpark – Committee formed. Tony Robson looked at possible sites. Awaiting plans to submit to IaaO. (g) Erisort Trust. – Tina Carrington, seconded by Iain MacIver, nominated Iain MacLeod to continue to represent Kinloch Community Council on Erisort Trust. (h) Joint Meeting – Agreed to organise a joint meeting between Kinloch and Pairc Community Councils, possibly during the first half of February. Iain MacLeod to liase with Morris Black re this. Agreed that Chairman of Erisort Trust (Angus McDowall) be invited to chair this meeting. Ken Roddy MacKay also to be invited. (i) Connected Communities – Agreed to invite Donnie Morrison to next meeting of Community Council to give a talk on Connected Communities. 4. CORRESPONDENCE (a) NHS Service Re-Design – Annie and Katrina to attend meeting on 19 January and report back.Various items of correspondence dealt with. 5. A.O.C.B. (a) Annie intimated to the meeting that the volunteer ambulance service for the Lochs area require more drivers. Anyone interested should contact her. (b) Annie told the meeting that she was awarding £1,000 ward money to the Junior Football Training scheme. (c) Road repairs – Concerns again raised about state of roads and drains. Annie took note of specific areas and will forward to CNES. (d) Airidhbhruaich Speed Limit – Agreed to write again to Council re this. 6. DATE OF NEXT MEETING Tuesday, 14 February 2006 at 8.00pm in the Laxay Hall. |
