MINUTES OF A MEETING OF KINLOCH COMMUNITY COUNCIL HELD ON TUESDAY, 20 FEBRUARY 2007 AT 8.00PM IN THE LAXAY HALL.

2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Minutes of meeting held on 09.01.07 approved,

proposed by Peter MacLennan, seconded by Iain MacLeod.

3. MATTERS ARISING FROM MINUTES

(a) Laxay Pitch – Goalposts still to be erected.

(b) Erisort Trust

¨ Aline Forest – Works progressing well. Further extension granted by MPLOY. Road works out to tender this week.

(c) Creagan Gorm – ACE funding to be claimed by 28 February.

Agreed that Iain will speak to Iain MacIver re purchase of trees from Stornoway Trust. To contact Sarah MacLeanfollowing this. IML

(e) NHS Re-Design – No details available.

(f) Rural Services Priority – No information as yet.

(g) Village Entrances – No new developments.

(h) Police Station – Has been unable to attend meetings so far. Invite to next meeting. SMD

(i) Island Games – As Tina not present, leave until next meeting.

(j) Bird Management – No new developments.

(k) Muaitheabhal Windfarm – Awaiting decision from ScottishExecutive.

(l) Notice Boards –Work started on erecting notice board in Airidhbhruaich.

(m) Balallan School– Latest completion date is now March/April.

Reply received from Jennet Gordon read to meeting.

(n) Land Buyout – Raised at IaaO meeting and agreed that consultation monies to be put aside to engage someone to progress this issue. Remit to be written up by sub-group of IaaO.

(o) Gaelic Language Plan – To next meeting.

(p) Speed Limit – Airidhbhruaich – Reply from Kenny John MacLennan read to meeting. Agreed to invite him or a representativefrom Tech Services to next meeting along with policeman to discussthis issue and various other road safety issues. SMD

(q) Bus Service – Reply from David Smart read to meeting. Agreed to place notice on website and on local notice board asking foran indication of who would use the evening bus service. E-mailaddress for Community Council to be set up on website for responses.

David Smart to be contacted again after information received. SMD

(r) Community Volunteer Group – Notice to be placed on websiteregarding this. SMD

4. A.O.C.B.

¨ Concern raised re untidy and dangerous state of Balallan Playpark. Clerk to write to CNES re this. SMD
