Page 2 of 15 MINUTES OF A MEETING OF KINLOCH COMMUNITY COUNCIL HELD ON TUESDAY, 9 OCTOBER 2007 AT 8.00PM IN THE LAXAY HALL.
PRESENT: Iain M MacIver Iain MacLeod Katrina MacLeod Murdo MacAulay Peter MacLennan Les Mac an Ultaigh John A MacDonald Kim Young
IN ATTENDANCE: Lesley MacDonald ( Head of Executive Office, CNES) Annie MacDonald (Local Member)
Members of public in attendance.
Lesley MacDonald was in attendance to chair the commencement of the meeting.
1. ELECTION OF CHAIRMAN Lesley MacDonald invited nominations for the position of Chairman. On a proposal nominated by Iain MacLeod and seconded by Katrina MacLeod, Iain MacIver accepted the position of Chairman and took over chair. 2. ELECTION OF VICE-CHAIRMAN On a proposal nominated by Iain MacIver and seconded by Murdo MacAulay, Katrina MacLeod accepted the position of Vice-Chairman. 3. ELECTION OF TREASURER On a proposal nominated by Peter MacLennan and seconded by Katrina MacLeod, Murdo MacAulay accepted the position of Treasurer. 4. APPOINTMENT OF CLERK Sandra MacDonald accepted the position of Clerk. 5. DRAFT CONSTITUTION Circulated to all members. Adoption of constitution to be placed on agenda for next meeting.
8.45pm KENNETH MACAULAY ENTERED THE MEETING. 6. CO-OPTION OF MEMBERS Agreed to defer this item until next meeting. 7. A.O.C.B. ¨ Balallan Skip Site – Concern raised over mess at Balallan Skip Site. Request made for skip to be moved further out peat road. Suggested that Grazings Committee should be approached regarding this.
¨ In conclusion, the Chairman wished to place on record the contribution made by the outgoing Chairman, Iain MacLeod who ensured that all meetings ran smoothly and chaired each meeting in a fair manner. He also wished to thank the Clerk and all members of the last Community Council.
The Chairman welcomed all the new members and hoped that the new Community Council could progress all matters raised at meetings in the best interests of our community.
8. DATE OF NEXT MEETING Tuesday, 13 November 2007 at 8.00pm in the Laxay Hall.
