Redevelopment Plans for Ravenspoint |

The Ravenspoint Centre is owned by Co-Chomunn na Pairc (the Park Community Co-operative) and houses a shop (the only one in South Lochs), hostel, tea-room, exhibition area, and a number of offices occupied by local organisations. The Co-Chomunn is facing two long-term problems in keeping these vital community facilities going – the building is deteriorating, and it is becoming increasingly difficult to find sufficient volunteers to keep services operating. This was the background to the commissioning of a feasibility study in January 2007, funded by the Big Lottery Fund, to identify options for the future of the building.  |

Bonfire and Fireworks 2007 |

This year's community bonfire and fireworks display will take place in Laxay. The "Fling in the Fank" will be held on Saturday 3rd November at Laxay fank. The BBQ, bonfire and fireworks have been organised by the Lochs Show Committee. As always the event is weather permitting. Please keep an eye on these pages for further information nearer the time. |

Lochs Reach semi finals for third year in a row Lochs played Gairloch Aultbea United with a 10:30 kick off on Saturday morning just as some folk were heading to their beds after the celtic festival. Lochs first threatened with David Martin coming in from the right and hitting the side netting after only 3 min, at the other end David black had to be alert to save at the feet of Andy Keveran. In nine minutes Lochs took the lead when David Martin whipped a ball across goal to Don Lava Macleod who rose well and headed past the G A united keeper. |
